Maryanne has over 6 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, encompassing credit control, financial analysis, and reporting, cash flow projections as well as budgeting and forecasting. Having engaged in diverse assignments, she has also gained expertise in management accounting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, debt activities, inventory checks, and reconciliations. A background in the health, hospitality, and consultancy sectors has strengthened her accounting practice in ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in financial accounting.

Maryanne has delivered value to clients through developing financial and accounting policies that streamlined finance and operation functions. At Geoffrey Gitau and Co. she holds fort as an Accountant and is celebrated for her liveliness and disciplined work ethics. She is instrumental in facilitating month-end accounting functions and serves clients in the beverage segment, covering local manufacturing and import. She ensures tax and statutory requirements, including filing of returns, PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, instalment tax, NSSF, and NHIF are timely and accurately processed. Maryanne has also strengthened internal controls by evaluating and documenting business processes and corresponding accounting policies. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from JKUAT, a CPA, and has undertaken trainings in computerized accounting.
